Colleen Kane Gielskie joined the ACLU of Louisiana in June 2009. Prior to relocating to New Orleans, she worked as an estate planning paralegal for the law firm of McKeegan & McKeegan in her hometown of Delhi, NY. She studied History at Alfred University, and Art History at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at New Paltz.
As Assistant Director, she manages operations and communications for the affiliate. She is particularly dedicated to the issues of racial justice and reducing mass incarceration, and is a longtime member of the Orleans Parish Prison Reform Coalition (OPPRC).
