Jarvis Gorden

Title/Position

Philanthropy Officer

Jarvis serves as the Philanthropy Officer for the ACLU of Louisiana. In this role, he is dedicated to fostering a greater sense of belonging among our community of supporters.

Prior to life at the ACLU of Louisiana, Jarvis collaborated with philanthropists from all walks of life, forging lasting partnerships that equally brought meaning to the lives of benefactors and recipients. Most recently, he served as a Senior Development Officer with Tulane University, where he partnered with philanthropic leaders across the country on key university goals, including the launch of a pilot initiative benefitting students at the A.B. Freeman School of Business with an eye toward enhancing access for women and people of color to the investment banking field. At the LSU Foundation, Jarvis joined the university’s first-ever leadership giving team and worked to engage a new generation of donors for Louisiana State University prior to the launch of the Fierce For the Future campaign. Jarvis started his career in the New Orleans startup scene, where he served as an early-stage member of Levelset, which later made history as one of the largest technology acquisitions in Louisiana ever.

He currently offers his time through three volunteer board appointments: the Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans, the LGBT+ Archives of Louisiana, and the Tulane Fund Advisory Board.
