We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support of the ACLU of Louisiana. Your commitment to our efforts during a second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and through Hurricane Ida, is humbling and inspiring. Hurricane Ida’s devastation, occurring almost exactly 16 years after Hurricane Katrina, exposed inequalities that existed long before the storm. In many ways, the people of Louisiana have been repairing damage to physical structures, as well as social and political systems for the last 16 years.

This year has made one thing clear: our fight for equity and freedom must continue. We are thrilled to welcome many new volunteers and supporters to the ACLU of Louisiana family. Your collective generosity in time, talent, and treasure has empowered the affiliate to grow, and sustains our hopefulness and determination as we look to the future.
