Data Analyst

Elijah is a dynamic data analyst with a passion for social justice. Joining as a Data Analyst at the ACLU of Louisiana in June 2023, Elijah focuses on gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data related to civil liberties throughout the state. Elijah is deeply committed to using data to honor and amplify the lived experiences of all Louisianans and to make data accessible to all stakeholders. 

Prior to joining the ACLU of Louisiana, Elijah worked in various positions at justice organizations, including the Center for Community Alternatives and the Vera Institute of Justice. Through these experiences, he developed an understanding of the intersection of direct experiences, politics, and justice, which he brings to his data analysis. Elijah is also highly skilled in web scraping, machine learning, and data storytelling. 

Elijah graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Originally from the Catskill Mountains, he enjoys creating jewelry, cooking, and running in his free time.
