Rebecca Desta is a second year law student at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. She’s from Florissant, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Rebecca received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2017. She spent some time working in politics between undergrad and law school; for the U.S. Senate, and then the Mayor's race in Kansas City, Missouri. The experiences in both her personal and professional life have sparked her passion for social justice. Rebecca’s goal is to work in public interest, because she wants to help advance and preserve the rights of marginalized groups.
